Philadelphia School Assaults
This date set contains Philadelphia School District information, including geographic location by zip code, student enrollment by race, the percentage of low income families , suspension rate, and the percentage of drug usage, assault, theft, etc.

By visualizing the data, I gained insights into assault segmentation.
Poverty Rate vs. Crime Rate
This data comes from the 2017 Statistical Abstract of the United States (originally run by the USCensus, but now updated by ProQuest.)

It has data on each state’s poverty rate (percent of all adults living below the federal poverty line), violent crime rate (number of violent crimes per 100,000 people in the state), the percent of each state’s population that is currently employed, and Non-high school population.

I utilized data visualization tools to tell the "story" between poverty and crime.

Gender and SAT
The dataset comes from a sample of Princeton students. It has information about SAT, height, income, major, age, etc.
Percentage of Think Tanks by Affiliation in China
I collected, constructed and cleaned an Excel database for 1400+ Chinese Think Tanks. My database has information about their main policy areas, geographical location, date of establishment, staff number, contact information.

My research contributed to the 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, which ranks more than 6,500 think tanks using a set of 18 criteria developed by the Think Tank and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP).

Mother's Age & Kids Score
This is a dataset from the School District of Philadelphia, including 5 variables: kids score, if mother graduated from high school, mother's IQ score, mother's employment status, and mother's age.

Using R, I was able to perform regression analysis and investigate what factors affect kids performance at school.
Arrest Rate by Race
This dataset consists of police use-of-force from 2013-2016, in Dallas.
​
Using R, I visualized my data and investigated whether there is evidences of racial bias in use-of-force.
